The Women’s Daytime Drop-In Center was established
in 1988 as a volunteer cooperative. Today, the WDDC’s staff continues
to be made up of many community volunteers providing services
in a number of different areas.
These areas include: advocacy, housing referral,
Children’s Services, meal preparation, hospitality services, art
classes, and support groups.
Volunteers are expected to make a commitment
to the WDDC 4-6 hours per week for a minimum of four months. Also,
we require that our volunteers attend any trainings necessary
to their specific volunteer position.
If you are interested in volunteering with
us, please look over the opportunities
we have available and email a completed volunteer application
to Volunteer Coordinator Mel Simpson staff@womensdropin.org.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from
you!
