Children's Program

Thanks to a grant from Every Child Counts, First Five of Alameda County, the WDDC Children's Program is booming. We strive to make each child's visit to the WDDC a fun, positive experience. In addition to providing children's activities, WDDC Children's Program staff offer:

  • Assessment of need and referrals for medical, dental, preschool, and mental health services
  • Developmental and social/emotional screenings for children under 5
  • Play and family therapy for families with children under the age of 5
  • A parenting support group for caregivers
  • Individual parenting support and education
